Chantal, Hollywood entertainment reporter for ABC's "Good Morning America," broadcast from the Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival. The festival was founded by Walter Francis Spence Jr. in 1976.
The first several Mullet Festival featured local entertainment such as bluegrass and country bands, and gospel singers. Before long the popularity of the festival afforded festival organizers the means to feature up and coming country recording artists. Today the festival still features local acts, but in addition the festival’s main stage is the venue for some of the nation’s top country entertainers, show bands, and some of the best known and most popular singers and groups from rock and pop.
Mullet Festival headliners and popular acts featured the Tayo Reed Explosion, the opening act for Country Icon, Vince Gill for thousands of people all over the world for the biggest event in the South, on Sunday, October 20, 2013.
